Cadets from around Canada participated in thousands of community Remembrance Day events this year, and Vancouver’s oldest cadet corps was no exception. Cadets from the 72nd RCACC joined with many others on Saturday, November 11, in a parade and ceremony to remember our veterans and their sacrifices at the South Memorial Cenotaph, and supported the remembrance ceremony at the Mount Pleasant Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. Prior to Remembrance Day, twenty-seven of our cadets also participated in poppy tagging activities in the community, helping make poppies available to Canadians and to raise funds that directly support veterans and their families. Community service is a key part of the cadet program, and is something our cadets are all very pleased and proud to do.
